Dear MICCAI Society Members,
The MICCAI Society Board is happy to announce the result of the bid procedure for the organization of the MICCAI conference in 2020.
Out of three very strong bids, the proposal to organize the MICCAI 2020 in Peru, was selected. The MICCAI 2020 conference and satellite events will be held from October 4-8, 2020 at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru (PUCP), Lima.
The organizing team of the conference consists of:
General co-Chairs: Daniel Racoceanu, Pontifical Catholic Univ. Peru and Leo Joskowicz, The Hebrew Univ. of Jerusalem, Israel.
Program co-Chairs: Purang Abolmaesumi, Univ. British Columbia, Canada, Anne Martel, University of Toronto, Canada, Diana Mateus, Technische Univ. Munich, Germany and Danail Stoyanov, UCL, UK.
Satellite Events Chair: Mauricio Reyes, University of Bern, Switzerland.
Local co-Chairs: Benjamín Castañeda and Roberto Lavarello, Pontifical Catholic Univ. Peru.
We are very excited about having the MICCAI conference for the first time organized in Latin America, and we are very confident that with this organizing team the meeting will be both scientifically and socially a great success.
The conference will feature accessible registration fees, 50 student travel awards, fully electronic poster session, and a great academic location.
We look forward to seeing you all in Lima in 2020.
