Robotics technology is the design and construction of machines to perform certain tasks under a certain degree of intelligence, its importance lies in having developed the automation of production processes, replacing human intervetion in many complicated and risky tasks. It is essentially multidisciplinary because it involves among other issues, microelectronics, computing, pattern recognition and artificial intelligence. This course shows some uses of robotics technology. During the course, the student will acquire the fundamentals of probability, location, mapping and autonomous navigation applied to robotics. The student will learn the steps necessary to plan the design and execute the numerical simulation of industrial and research robots.
