Code:
2CIV09
Credits:
3.5
Requirements:
2CIV07 , 2CIV05

This is a theoretical-practical course, that belongs to the Construction Management field, within the Civil Engineering specialty. The course supports the development of the competencies C1, C2, C5, C6 and C8 of the graduate profile in the intermediate progress level. Thematically, the course objective is to teach the student how the preliminary processes are performed to complete the economic evaluation of a building project. To accomplish the previous objective, starting from prints and technical specifications or a BIM model, the student defines the construction processes that compose a building project, defines the execution logical sequence, and determines the cost (unit cost analysis and quantity measurement of the involved activities). The student learns how to determine and estimate the management structure to support the building Project to guarantee its execution (indirect costs). By the end of the course, the student is able to structure a quotation for the execution of a building project.
